New article (description, text and image)

Making a new Image Category

Log into the Myportal control panel and on the top menu click on settings.

  • Acces the image categories by clicking on the images button on the left menu.
  • To add a new image category is the button in the bottom ADD.
  • Enter the name of the Image category you like.(i.e. MyPictures)
  • By selecting the check box type, we can select various propreties for the images for this category.
    • It's posible to have the image that we upload to MyPortal (will do later) in three aspects. This means that MyPortal can resize them by it's self. Plus more options to choose from.
    • Lets enter the width and height.
  • Finnish the adding by clicking on the ADD button.
  • We can see that we have a new image category.

Making an new Article Category

Still under the sttings display.

  • Click on articles on the left. Now we are looking at the Articles categories.
  • To add a new article category is the button in the bottom ADD FOLDER.
  • Enter the name of the article category you like.(i.e. MyArticles)
  • By selecting the check box type, we can select various propreties for the articles in this category.
    • Under the dropdown Content we can choose if this article is going to have a place for description. Plus its posible to have up to three text fields for the main text.
    • Lets select the decription and one textfield.
    • Under the dropdown Images we can choose if this article is going to have a place for images. The max is five images.
    • Lets select just one image and from the drop down it's posible to select which category will be possible to select the images from. Select the one we created before (MyPictures).
  • Finnish the adding by clicking on the ADD button.
  • We can see that we have a new article category.

Adding an image

Now we have to replace the display so lets click on Images button in the top menu. On the left it's the Images categories list. There we have the image category we made before.

  • Click on it. Now we can add a new image with clicking on the UPLOAD IMAGES button.
  • Now search the image on dhe hard disk with the Browse Images button. It's possible to select more than one image.
  • Now that the images have been selected finish the process by clicking on Upload.
  • The image or images we uploaded are now in this category ready for use in the articles.

Adding a article

Now we have to replace the display so lets click on articles button in the top menu. On the left it's the Articles categories list. There we have the article category we made before.

  • Click on it. Now we can add a new article with clicking on the NEW ARTICLE button.
  • Enter the name of the Article you like.(i.e. My first article)
  • Put some text in the description and text area.
  • Then we have the option to add an image to the article. By clicking on the little button on the right side of the textfield under Image 1 section. Select he image by clicking on the desiderable one.
  • With the button SAVE the article is added.
